Solo boost?

Im tied between the riot and ht dual for my main dirt sound, unless anyone can suggest anything? Bearing in mind i like my gain (not to a stupidly metal level; i play classic rock stuff, but i like to have plenty of sustain there should i need it!), and i much prefer the 'british overdrive' tone (hence why i also own a JCM900 )
crunch will most probably come from the ecstasy, but having youtube'd the liquid sunshine, I might reconsider!

i haven't tried it, but from any clips i've heard, the riot is way more modern-sounding than classic rock, i'd have thought.

I loved the crunch channel of the dual but chanel 2 had an annoying bass boost. Also the build quality sucked and the thing broke in multiple fashions.
