    Default FS: - Tele Project

    Hi All,

I've been assembling parts for a project that I'm not going to complete... so its time to move it on.

Fender/Squier Japan Black Tele body - routed for a bridge humbucker and for Kahler 2300 trem. All other routes original. Some genuine wear - some would call it relic... - including paint chips, scratches etc. Medium weight. Structurally very sound and looks very cool. £50

Kahler 2300 trem system - brass/gold finish, with arm (brass tip). Previous owner removed 'Kahler' logo and Patent numbers (ground them off) and then polished it. If you hold it in the light you can just see the Kahler logo. Good working order - rollers good, fine tuners good etc etc. £60.

    Or both together - £100.

Telecaster maple neck - finished in semi-matt lacquer, with sealed in F*nder logo (its not a Fender... no idea of make), 22 fret, drilled for modern tuners (10mm), fitted with nut, drilled for Fender four bolt fixing (doesn't look like its been fitted though - no wear on frets at all). Quite flat board (separate maple board) - according to my gauge its a 12in radius. Frets look medium gauge to me. £45.

    Whole lot together £130.

All prices incl. postage. Not really after a trade, except for a Squier Jazzmaster or Jaguar (cash your way)...

Will try to get some pics up later.

Vague idea of the neck profile, and any chance of a closeup of the F*nder logo please?

I'm not great at describing profiles - its quite slim and a sort of C/D I guess. Certainly not a chunky monkey.

    Pic of the logo:

Odd question, and it makes me feel like I'm being a bit mean, but how accurately is the body routed for the bridge and the neck? As in, when complete, would it have the correct scale length? Will it be a 25.5 inch scale length?

Thanks, and sorry for sounding a bit anal!

Also (good lord, I am being an awkward git), does the neck have a truss rod? Cheers!

The bridge is fitted in the same place as the original bridge - and so should be as good as it was when it left the factory. The neck is a regular Fender-scale one so in theory should be bang on. I've not assembled the guitar or set it up so this all by measurement, not be experience.

Truss rod in the neck - yup one fitted. Looks like a single way one (ie not Bi-Flex) to me.

    :-)
