Hmmm, even though the Brum date is on my birthday Mrs DJ isn't keen on taking me (I guess she still remembers standing in the rain at Finsbury Park back in 2001).

Oh well, I'm still bloody going!

The SECC isn't my favourite venue, but I don't care! Going .

I missed him this past summer- the closest he came to me was Pittsburgh, PA ( a 5+ hr drive), but I was out of town... BOOO.

Anyhow, I just picked up the new CD today. I was in a local record store, browsing for oldies but goodies- ( Skynyrd's Street Survivors tops that list, but alas...) When a song came over the PA that stopped me in my tracks. It was Neil, playing a song I'd never heard, which sounded f'ing GREAT! I immediately dropped whatever I was holding and speed walked to the counter. I HAD to find out which CD we were listening to- because it was going to be MINE. Turns out it was his latest. The most surprising thing: It sounds like Neil and the boys in their '70s prime! Once again, Neil's guitar playing just blew me away.

Got my ticket for the Newcastle Gig today. I do seem to have spent rather a lot of money already on various 2013 Gigs.
