    Default Martin 00-16C

Does anyone know anything about the Nylon string Martin's from the 1960's. (N20, 00-16c, 00-18c etc).
They keep popping up on ebay and I was wondering if anyone knew what their relative price was and had an idea of the specs.
    Many thanks in advance.

The only famous Martin Nylon user I can think of is Willie Nelson. The consensus seems to be that they were over-built and sounded poor, when compared to a 'proper' classical of flamenco. Hence very low (for both the brand and the era) prices...

That's cheaper than the one's I've seen on Ebay.

I know Willie uses a short scale N20. I've just checked with an ebay seller of a 0016c and his has a 2 inch nut and flat radius. I thought if they had a radius similar to their steel strings with perhaps a 46/48mm nut it might have been worth investigating. So, I might as well stick with my Admira.

Or check out a Taylor NS series. I have an NS 32ce - it is a superb compromise in terms of feel. Even the fingerboard is slightly cambered.
