    A little puzzling !
JJ is a *very* small business. They may well have closed up for Christmas.

Or, seeing as they're quoting a c9mth lead time for new models at the moment, maybe they aren't too interested in adding to the waiting list.

Still, no excuse for the rudeness of not replying.

Here's a s/h one from earlier this year (might still be available??)

    Though it's pricey ...

You've got the choice there between the 2 x P90 model and the 1 P90 / 1 HB model. I've actually got one of each, and they are both great at what they do. The HB adds more tonal variety (obviously!), especially as it's coil tapped too. The 2xP90 is a real raw rock guitar.

Give g4u a call - I've dealt with them before and found them more than helpful with great service. It's NOT a normal box-shifter operation.

I keep thinking maybe I should offer my Jewel for sale (if only suffers from a lack of playing time!), but I think it's one of those "I'd always kick myself if I did" situations.

I had JJ Jewel p90 in 2007, exactly like the one TTony provided a link to. It was a great guitar, very resonant and rich sounding. The neck was extremely playable and accessible. The build quality was second to none, and for a s/h handmade guitar of such high standard was a good buy at £400. I probably shouldn't have sold it.

Since then, I have recently acquaried a JJ special. It has a p90 in the neck and dimarzio mini humbucker in the bridge. Again, the quality is super, and the playability is up there with USA Gibson's and strat's. My only niggle is the amount of paint the guitar has been smothered in, especially due to the exotic wood being used. It doesn't sing as much as the jewel did and I'm tempted to strip it to a natural finish. Other than that, it's an amazing guitar and I'd highly recommend you try one. If you can find one s/h around £400-450 then you'll have a lot of guitar for the money.

Thanks for your thoughts,I`m pretty keen to get my hands on one!
Like the look of the lightly finished ones in mahogany, definitely want a P90 one,got
    more than enough humbuckers about!
Know what you mean about too thick finishes killing tone,I put together a tele, played
it in a raw wood state for a while before I sprayed it and couldn`t believe how it deadened
it`s sound!Stripped it again and gave it a light coat of clear nitro, what a transformation!
