new years resolution
iv decided...been playing for years now and always looked out for these guitarists whos playing i love and try and do what they do.....getting pulled in loads of different directions ...iv decieded this year im going in my direction, i learned all the theory i need , im gonna do my own chords. progressions ,ect....and start writing out my own runs in a organised format ...my way..just been doing this today and its the best practice iv had for a while and it sounds like me...and its a lot easier to incorporate in my playing.........
do we spend all our lives chasing shadows of what we would like to be instead of concentrating on what we are....?
we wouldnt copy of somebody in speach so why in music...we all have a voice and personality...to me that should be tranfered to music not took off somebody else....

yeah probably will Gareth...im going to use it as more of a springboard now though...i really like his ideas....but in this last 2 weeks iv been trying Barry Galbraith solo guitar...the Tim Miller stuff...Martino...ect, ect...the problem is i like them all that much that iwanted to so what they do....but thats impossible...and iv always been like that...so im just concentrating on me now..not going to get side tracked any more ...just stop focused...
