I think you might be dragging it out, there's like 4 mins of song in their absolute max.

I mixed a gig on new years eve for a party band, some floor fillers were (Apart from SOF)

Moves like Jagger - Maroon 5
    Do ya think I'm sexy
    Disco 2000
    Love Shack
    Park Life
Forget you - Cee Lo Green
    Superstitious
    Play that Funky music

Which is a perfect drunk sing-along chorus...and the breakdown chorus near the end where you can get the crowd singing it between the stabs (musical not the injury inducing type)

Brilliant song to play live to a packed pub.

It truly has become a modern 'standard' for covers bands, and from the gigs I played over Xmas the punters still love it.

Single Ladies by Beyonce goes down well in our DJ music section of the night, but as to whether or not your band can do a passable cover (whole song or just a segment) depends on your band.

    Love Shack
    Parklife
    The Time Warp

And any camp disco stuff is always well received, YMCA, Can't Get You Out Of My Head, Tainted Love etc.

Well we made a BIG list last night and got down to a smaller list, so next up in the rehearsal queue will be:

    Call Me Maybe
    Dont' Stop Me Now
    Hard to Handle
    Walk This Way
    Yellow
    Moves Like Jagger
    I Gotta Feeling

I'd be more than happy with even more cheese in there, but the other guys want to keep it a bit "cooler". We'll see who's right

Can't go wrong with this, it was always a crowd pleaser with my old band. Also these went down well, too:

    Summer Of '69
    Living On A Prayer
Fight For Your Right To Party
    Chelsea Dagger
    I Predict A Riot
    Jackson
    Take Your Mama
About You Now (mash-up between Sugarbabes and Saw Doctors versions!)
Rock Star (to a disco beat!)

Status Quo - Rockin All Over The World, Whatever You Want. Played to death, but still go down well
Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline, I cannot stand the song but audiences seem to like it.
ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man, seems to have taken a new lease of life since the "Drummer At Wrong" Gig YouTube clip.

    More unusually,
Humble Pie - Natural Born Boogie, good driving beat, always went down well when my previous band played it. Even when hardly anyone knew the song right away.

In the past, I find that the simple songs with a driving beat and singalong chorus seem to go down well. The more familiar the better.

"Brown Eyed Girl", of course. Never fails and it has a singalong bit.
The 80s stuff has been very popular recently for us. Especially "Sweet Child o' Mine". Sometimes we look out into the crowd and think that they are a bit too sedate and golf club for the song (eg Rotary Club Xmas party) but we are always proved wrong and it fills the dance floor.
"Brown Sugar" also has wide appeal. And "Superstition" and "I'm a Believer". We also do a series of songs "Do you love me?" by The Contours then two Blues Brothers songs ("Shake a Tail Feather" and "Everybody Needs Somebody") which always fills the dance floor.
