Sorry bro, haven't a clue myself but as Fender are ditching the 'Hamer' name, the ongoing rarity factor may make them collectable/desirable in the long term if that has a bearing.

    Thats about right pricewise.

Unusual to see a 2 piece bridge , the old US Sunbursts had a single Fender type unit , £1150 sounds optimistic to me , if it was the older 80's model then thats a fair price , but if you like it , you like it thats all that matters , though offer £750

I think the Archtops always had the separate stoptail and tune-o-matic - it was the flat-top Specials that had the string-through type. I had one exactly like this guitar. (Mine was a little more 'flamey' and less 'quilty', so it isn't actually the same one, although I did have to look twice at it! Pretty sure mine had nickel hardware not gold, too.)

I would say £1150 is low for the quality of the guitar, high for the current market value, and considering that Fender are now stopping production, probably low in the future... unless they sell the name and someone else goes back to making them to this standard.

In other words, if you like it and you want to keep it in the long term, it's probably a fair price.

80's hamers had the sustain block bridge.
Most of the 90s and onwards had a stop tailpiece.
Thats a high end studio, check out the top and gold hw so I reckon its a fair (but not fantastic) price.

FWIW I've owned an 80's special, 80's sunburst, 90's special, 00's korina jr special, 00's artist, and recently a newport.
Fantastic guitars, Wish I still had them!!!
I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

I always fancied a proper USA Diablo.

A mate had one many years ago (early 1990s) and it was superb.
