Default Bargain Tanglewood GAS - Stained Front?

Just picked this up off a friend for £25, rather proud of it (although I think that money's probably going up his nose...)

A lovely Tanglewood TW-28 Seagull, it's feeling very nice after I've cleaned it up (it was filthy!) although the front has been stained/faded from a combination of cigarette smoke and sunlight, although I'm not too sure how there are a few circles that are less faded than the rest of the guitar (the back is darker but the sides are pretty much the original colour).

My question is, is there a way I can lighten up the guitar to its original colour, thus removing the dots and making it look less yellow? I'm not too bothered if not, it gives it a bit of character, but I'd rather restore her to her former glory if I'm able to!

Sorry I can't answer your question, I have no idea when it comes to these things but wow... that's a nice piece of Tanglewood you got yourself there.

They make some great playing, sounding, and looking guitars!! Very underrated brand I find.

It's very odd that only the top would erm "mellow" in this way, not the sides too. I'm assuming that its sprayed with the same finish all round then it must be the paint underneath?

T cut and (usually) lots of elbow grease. Staining the fretboard with leather dye woyuld improve it a lot as well.

Id wager its lacquered, so would need sanding off first.
