I think I've hit a brick wall trying to prevent my kick from fluctuating in volume every 3 hits with the bass in the background. It's inaudible, but I see the jumps in Live's Spectrum and on my mixer's meter.

I've taken care to have the kick in G, at 50Hz, so that the bass never really overlaps with it (the melody alternates between E, F#, A). I've also got some heavy sidechaining going on (not the pumping House kind though). And that pretty much exhausts what I've learned online.

I'd appreciate if you shared some of your experiences! Thanks.

P.S. The bass is more of a triangle with some other stuff thrown in, so maybe the phasing is due to the heavy harmonic content???
