    Default Roland Bolt 30?

Saw one on Gumtree within travelling distance, done a quick google and quite interested. Seems to be good for clean sounds which is what I like. Anyone any experience of them, reliablity? etc.
Also kinda price does it cost if I wanted it serviced?

An old-fashioned hybrid amp ( solid-state pre, valve power) which uses non-standard 7591A power valves. As far as I remember they were reliable enough but sounded either a bit boring or rubbish depending if you used the onboard distortion. I think you can do much better even for a cheap clean valve amp, although they are at least fairly small.

If you're planning on overhauling it, budget for a full cap job, they're old enough to need it. The valves will probably be OK though, even if they're the originals - they're very high quality.

A friend of mine has a Roland Bolt and it has a really nice clean sound (a bit like a fender amp) The overdrive is a bit crappy but that can be sorted out with a pedal.

They blow everything else away but only for just under 10 seconds then they stop. Oh hang on that's not Roland Bolt. What was Usain again?
