    Default Light overdrive recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a light overdrive that stacks well with another overdrive, in this case, my Fulltone OCD?

The pedal I may be looking to replace is my Keeley modded TS-808. Whilst it does stack/work well with the OCD and offers a good bluesy lead sound on its own, I find the classic mid-hump from it a bit hard when it comes to using it solely for some light overdrive rhythm playing (think Bryan Adams, Tom Petty, Stones). Oh, I mainly using a Strat on a clean sound (no break up).

Any suggestions and I'm looking for a bit of spank (ooh err missus)? Can any of the Mooers cover this, Wamplers (the Paisley Drive), Mad Professor or TCs? Tried the Xotic range too and they're good but didn't work for me. The Way Huge Pork Loin is the closest thing but that's a large footprint on my board.

    Cheers

Cheers for that and the Subdecay keeps coming up. I note there's a V.3 now. Is there any one of the versions that is better?

    Dano Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive

It's a clone of the Timmy. It's fantastic!

I really like the V2. Stickyfiddle has my old one, although I never tried the original one.

Another recommendation for the Liquid Sunshine. It's an incredible pedal, just takes what your amp has and makes it sound like it's being cranked, strong mid range but no big hump, so gives a great light break-up and rhythm sound and stacks well into anything I've tried. £100 quid as well which makes it good value. I have the v3, never tried the other versions.

Make sure you watch the Pro Guitar Shop demos of the Lovepedal OD11. Andertons are stocking then now as well.

Another vote for the transparent od. V1 and v2 are both excellent.

Another one to throw out there is the boss dyna drive. I know, I know, it's not a cool pedal, not boutique. But it's not a clone, either, has an excellent voice, is extremely dynamic and can do a light od with a bugger load of output for lead, even with the drive rolled back. Very underrated pedal. Wish I had one. My friend let me play his the other day, and I'd trade the mxr distortion for it, maybe. Dependant on mood...

The Liquid Sunshine is great - the later versions, IIRC, add trimpots inside. I don't think the original was lacking at all sound-wise but Brian knows his stuff so any version is likely to sound superb.

Sorry to be boring but another vote for the liquid sunshine. It's just magic. I have a v2. The v3 has more gain and I think has more tone controls rather than twin drive knobs.
