    Default tc Ditto

I may well have missed it but we seem to be the only electric guitar oriented forum on the www without a speculative thread on the Ditto so I thought I should start one.

Basically, one knob looper that has been advertised in the US but nothing on the tc electronics website as yet.
Breeding mammals with insects is my personal bugbear.

Hmm, should we condemn it without having experienced it, or proclaim it as the new messiah?

    Interesting.

I presume it'll works just like the looper on the flashback.

    Hmmm

I was just about to say exactly that. It'll have to be cheap, though, otherwise you may as well just buy a Flashback.

Then again...it's pretty small. And it would get around one of the main problems that I have with my Flashback as a looper....I can't use delay at the same time

    How does that work then?*

I've not really played with many loopers yet but a simple, cheap one might interest me enough to pick one up and try it out. I have a feeling it won't really suit me though!

If it's like the Flashback (and it makes sense that it is), then it'll be:

Make sure the pedal is in bypass mode (LED off). Feel the groove and prepare for recording. Then press the switch to start your recording and play. The LED flashes red.

Press the switch again to stop recording. Flashback immediately starts playing the loop. In this play mode the LED is green.

To overdub your recording press the switch once more. The LED now blinks.

To delete all recordings, double-click the switch.

The first round of recording always sets the length of the loop (1). If an overdub exceeds the length of the loop (2), a third round of recording begins (3). This gives a very natural, logic and musical feel when recording loops.
