    £105 at Andertons.

I'd be interested to see how the control works. This has undo unlike the Flashback. The link in the video isn't working on the TC site yet.

    £105...hmmm

Not quite as cheap as they keep hinting at, but I do like the specs. An undo is pretty essential on a looper (in my experience anyway)

    I think I'm still tempted

At £105 I think I'd leave it. I imagine the undo redo is hold for 2 seconds, and to stop is double tap.

I'm actually quite glad (if glad is the right word) it's as expensive as it is - I only just got a flashback x4 and one of the main reasons for getting it was the looper. I'd be pretty bummed if they suddenly released an equivalent looper for a super low price.

Either way though, brilliant piece of kit. It's not for everyone I'm sure (particularly as the ability to permanently store and recall loops is pretty essential for a lot of live loopers) but as a practice/creativity tool this sounds perfect. I'd say it's a pretty apposite time to release a small form factor looper, given how a lot of people are going back to analog delays and away from modern digital delays (often with built in loopers these days).

I've got a Boss RC-3 anyway, plus a looper with drums on my G3.

Still, this looks a neat little pedal. Shame about the price.

More details from TC posting on TGP:

    Hi guys,

I guess the cats out of the bag now, which means I can chime in and answer some questions. :-)

First of all, just to clear up the discussion about the user interface of the pedal, here goes:

    1. To record: Press the footswitch once
    2. To stop recording and start playback: Press again
    3. To do an overdub: Press again

You can now toggle between another overdub and playback by pressing the footswitch.

    4. To Undo your last overdub: Press and hold the footswitch for 1.3 seconds during playback
    5. To Redo: Press and hold the footswitch for 1.3 seconds again

You can only undo/redo your last overdub

    6. To stop: Press twice (double click)
    7. To delete the loop and return to the true bypass state: Press and hold for 1.3 seconds while the pedal is stopped

There is also a shortcut to delete the loop and go back to true bypass straight from the playback state (so that you don't have to stop the loop first)

    8. Press the footswitch once and then hold to go straight from playback to true bypass

    ------------------------

Also, the loop is recorded and played back in full 24bit uncomprerred resolution.

    Cheers,
    Tore

Well that all seems rather good.

Like any looper getting used to the switch and the timing so you get the end of loop/start in time is key.

If I sell my Boss FB-2 I'll be ordering one

(that new years resolution of no more pedals didn't last long )

I had seen a couple of people using loopers live before I had ever seen a looper and this is pretty much how I imagined they worked rather than all the extra bits and bobs that looping pedals actually do have. So, I'm impressed.

You'll be impressed with the Flashback X4 one Eric. Whilst it has more buttons than this, it's the same principal, very intuitive and easy to use plus you can actually use delay at the same time when in looper mode - you can't do that with the regular Flashback.

I like the TC Ditto too.

    Cheers.

I haven't had any use for a looper live and don't tend to get the pedal board out at home so I suspect its an aspect of the X4 that won't get much use at the moment. However, you never know when I'll get the call to do my KT Tunstall tribute act again. Now, where did I put those leg warmers...
