Default Shimmer Reverb Effect with a Hall of Fame or Verbzilla

Is there a TC toneprint that can get close to this sort of thing (from about 20sec onwards):

I'd love a Bluesky just for that effect, but I really can't afford one right now.

So maybe the Line 6 Verbzilla is a (cheap) option.

Anyone got one...and are they fussy with unisolated PSUs (that's put me off the Echo Park in the past)

I came across the Mr Black Eterna Reverb whilst searching for non-Strymon shimmer options the other day. Youtube demos are pretty impressive. Factor in VAT/shipping/import duty and you're looking at maybe £180, i.e. not a million miles off Strymon prices...but still, if I can shift a few things I could be tempted.

That looks pretty good, although I think shimmer is not that useful in reality (I've heard too many Edge replicants on youtube by now). What has piqued my interest is that it does 100% wet and a 40s reverb tail - something I've only managed to do with an Alesis rack unit so far.

Away from the band I'm getting back into some ambient loopy stuff.

I used to use a true bypass loop box, with a volume pedal then Pog and modulation pedal in the loop, so I could strum a clean chord then swell in the shimmery wash. That worked pretty well, but I like the idea of having a pedal setting that does that as it meant I had to rearrange things just for that effect.

The Behringer RV600 is the cheapest you'll get. It's a Verbzilla clone, and although it's a nasty, cheap, plasticy thing, it does sound great. It's such a shame that the Mooer Shimverb's algorithm is set to 5ths, not octaves.

Behringer RV600 is a great pedal, worth it for the shimmer effect alone. The other verbs sound as good as a lot of other pedals 2 or 3 times the price. The pedal is prettty tough, had mine a few years and gigged/ toured with it no problem.

    They are about £30

Hmmm, that Behringer might just be the best option then. Thanks.

I had a verbzilla. The octo setting was the only setting I used. Sounded great. with the mix knob passed 80% it goes fully wet as well.

Did you have any PSU issues with it? I've heard the Echo Park doesn't like sharing a supply, not sure if that's the same with all tonecore pedals.

I'm using a Diago Powerstation, so unisolated daisy chain.
