    Default Boss parts?

The input jack socket on my old Boss CE2 finally gave up the ghost - the black plastic casing has broken so I need a replacement.

I've tried a few times to register at 'My Roland' UK site unsuccessfully so that's no help - anyone know where I can get a replacement? - it's a black plastic box type socket with what looks like around 4 or 5 connections..

    Thanks for any tips..

After some further hunting I think this might do the trick but advice still welcome!

Yes, I think that will fit. It has PCB pins rather than wire eyelets but you should be able to make it work.

send it off to Chris at pedal mods for his awesome upgrade and have the jack changed at the same time.

Thanks IC - may be tricky to solder on to those pcb pins? I couldn't find any other decent substitute jack socket though

Wolf - thanks but I like the pedal as it is - doesn't seem to be a good description of what the mod actually does- faster rate?

Contact them and tell them what you're looking for.
I sent my CS-2 comp for assessment and then agreed to his suggestion and couldn't be happier.

My mate's has his CE2 done this week and the hiss has gone and the tone no longer robs high end.

That's mad - I just put my battered old CS2 back on my board last night for a noodle & loved the sounds I was getting out of it!

What mods did you have done to yours?

Mine had a really bad Hiss and he suggested some of the components' values might have deteriorated.
Sent it to him for testing and he confirmed this.
His mod not only made it SILENT but the tone was more natural, no longer took away my top end.
In his opinion, the CS-2's buffer is as good as it gets so he was careful not to mess with it.

No idea how they manage to do it so cheap but I wasn't going to argue.. LOL
