    Default Gibson Les Paul

I have had this Gibson 2003 Les Paul Classic for about 8 years now and its and awesome guitar, my gigging guitar and has an annual setup at Mansons. So is in great playing condition.

It has had the following done

Back of neck stripped, tung oiled and a 'stinger' on headstock- now super smooth, no drag and feels beautiful.

    Gibson black plastics

    Gibson gold Refectors

    Gold Grovers

    Gold metal Jackplate

Shugz 50s style loom and BK Emerald in bridge and BK Mule in neck.

    Bone nut

Had its annual setup last year and frets, lightly stoned, polished, setup and plays beautifully.

I have the receipts for the setup / luthier work done on this guitar from the last few visits..

Basically it was ebony and gold with cream plastics. I hated the 'Barbie' pink plastics and swapped them out for black and ditched the gold bell knobs. Swapped out the gold Klusons for Grovers and upgraded all the electrics and ditched the Gibson pickups as they were too harsh and sterile. The old plastics and pickups are long gone as they were all pretty grim and so I flipped them.

I found the nitro on the neck too sticky for me and so had it professionally stripped and refinished and so it is now super smooth and has no drag. It is sealed using tung oil and so very easy to maintain.
The guitar has lots of dints, scratches and playing wear as it is my main singlecut for gigging and recording. It even has a 'The Great Frog' sticker on the control cavity plate. So not an instrument for closet guitar hoarders!

Comes in original Gibson hard case with shroud and is an amazing guitar.

I just want something with a 'FAT NECK'.

So I don't want anything skinny and I don't want anything pointy, shreddy or with a Floyd. No Studios etc

Trades Only as I would rather keep the guitar than turn it into cash.

Ideally will trade for another USA Gibson Les Paul, but one with a large 50's profile neck.

    Cheers guys!

    Its a great Lester.

I'm just on a mission to get as many of my 'thinner necked' guitars up to the fatter profile I am coming to prefer. If this had a fatter neck I would be keeping it. I have gigged and recorded with it for years as it sounds huge.

So I think I've had one offer and been asked for a cash price. So a slow week...

    Not really interested in cash.

I an ideal world I would like to trade for another Lester just with a FAT neck. Of course I will consider other guitars as I am a slave to the GAS.

    Okay.

Slight revision of what I'm looking for...

So ideally a Gibson Les Paul with a FAT neck and P90s.

    That is all.

A quick vid with some help from my son...

Audio /Video from my iPhone so a little ropey. Just like my playing on this vid.

Weighed it and its just over 9 pounds.

No weight relieving in this one.

Jef, lovely sounding guitar there - I assume you're playing through your Lonestar, but when you went to the bridge with more gain, did you kick in a pedal or was it another gain stage of the LS? Awesome tone.

All channel One on the LSS with a Klon for overdrive and Suhr Riot on low setting for dirt. I think...

I couldn't crank anything as the mic on the iPhone was having issues with the low level as it was.
