The Times is saying Manu in and Twelvetrees out. That does not sound the way forward at all, although Ireland will be glad not to be facing two good young centres.

I suspect the best way tio keep tabs on BOD is to keep hold of posetion and have Tuilagi run hard at him for the first 30 monutes of the game.

Twelvetrees will be on the bench. Probably the right call if Manu's really match fit [which some people doubt].

For once, I find myself in the distinctly unusual position of not being too worried about our centres. Any two from three will be fine. I would prefer 36 and Tuilagi, and I think (injuries permitting) they will be the starting pair by the end of the 6N, but either 36 and Barritt (on the grounds they did ok against Scotland and Tuilagi is still getting back to full match fitness) or Barritt and Tuilagi (on the grounds they were the pair that started against NZ and have been "in posession" for a while now) are perfectly acceptable.

Priority for me is getting rid of Goode and getting a proper left winger. I mentioned Wade earlier in the thread, but actually I'm not sure if he has ever played on the left wing. Perhaps Monye?

I've heard speculation that he might play Tuillagi at 11, now that would be odd!

The Reverend Lord Henry was not one of those new-fangled parsons who carry the principles of their vocation uncomfortably into private life.
