if the Kemper was a 2u rack mountable unit I would have one definatly, but I can't see myself using the "toaster" style unit live.

Yeah...I'm looking more at something for recording.

Although with Jet City bringing out the JCA20HFlex amp at NAMM, a MIDI-capable effects unit would definitely be nice for live work...

That's the difference. I'm not into recording (Bought a tascam US1641 to mess about with and never used it, it's gathering dust in a cupboard).

I'm looking for a live solution and the current Kemper just doesn't look sturdy enough.

Just found this thread on the Fractal forums:

    http://forum.fractalaudio.com/ultra-...and-ultra.html

I didn't realise the AxeFX ultra had the tone matching available, I asusmed it was Axe-FX II only.. makes it even more interesting. Has anyone tried any of these?

What is it with us Axe owners that we can't resist showing off our rig to anyone who will take a passing notice?

Not sure about showing off so much as letting people get access to something that we had to take a leap of faith on ?

Though fair to say its a warming feeling when someone plugs in and their jaw drops at how good it sounds too ...

Kemper just posted an interesting tease on their Facebook page which looks like a 2u rack version of their profiler.

When demo-ing the Axe at Newcastle and Aintree it came off very favourably. The Matrix amps and cabs I used at the shows went down well too.

On the FRFR side, what I found was fun was handing someone a 1.6kw poweramp which you can hold like a tray (less that 5kg).
