    Default those coffee pod machines

    specifically the dulce gusto ones.

The in-laws are after one, BUT - we need one with an auto cut-off, or at least one that you can select the amount that comes out, ie 1 cup, 1 mug, 1 jug something like that. BECAUSE these guys are in their 80s and the FIL has onset Alzheimers/dimenture and the opportunity for accident is high.
And offering the 'only put in the water tank, what you want out - isnt going to wash for the same reasons.

Now Ive been looking on line - but its a bleeding minefield, and the only ones that seem to mention (let alone offer)such a facility are £150 odd...........we're talking sub £100, sub £70 even better

    thanks

Tassimo Bertie, half decent for an auto pod machine, each type of pod has a unique barcode which the machine reads a doses out the correct volume, its simple as, great range of pods online too.

and when you register the machine online at Tassimo you will get £20 off your first pod order..

I like the Jacobs Monarch and the Twinings teas, the missus likes the Carte Noir Petit Dejeuner and Costa Americana.

+1 on the Tassimo. We bought a Bosch one for about £80 a couple of months back and it's a decent machine and really simple to use. The Colombian coffee pods we bought with it are not that nice tbh...taste a bit bitter and harsh to me, but we got some of these last week and they are really nice.

The Suchard hot chocolate ones are good too.

Another vote for the Tassimo - I love mine, and it couldn't be easier to use.

I really like the Costa capsules you can get for it

Jebus, they've shot up in price! This is the one we got about 3 months back

It was £85 then I think.

I've got a nespresso pixie and it let's you choose two sizes, espresso or cup. Luverly coffee, there's quite a few different models though. Some can be had for a fair bit under £100 but I'm not sure if they've all got the same functions.

Sorry the one I was looking at was £78 but it was manual so no good anyway.
