Sorry pal, it's a head and it's 100 watt but with a attenuator to knock it down anything inbetween 100 and 1 ! U can make it 89 watt if you want, 4 channels/modes, bright clean/warm clean crunch and super crunch

It's a really good head, I have one. Had it a couple of years now, and I wouldn't part with it. One of the most versatile heads for gigging in my opinion. I've used it in club bands, pub rock bands, and recording, and it's never let me down. Bought a Marshall Jubilee, Cornford and EVH in the meantime but still love gigging the Blackstar. Plus you don't really need an overdrive pedal for solos, the super crunch is enough, and for a solo volume boost stick an EQ pedal in the effects loop.
You might have sold it by now if you'd put a bit more effort into describing it.
If I wanted to turn it down I would have just bought a smaller amp wouldn't I, stupid.

EVH good amp too, but to me its not as versatile as the Blackstar. EVH has a distinct sound, and if it's the sound you're looking for then you will love it. For my money, if you're gigging and need a few different tones/sound then the Blackstar is much better than the EVH.

I had a series one head for about a fortnight thought it was a bit fizzy. I have had 2 EVH 100 III's for a while and have no plans to move them on. Perfect for what I'm looking for. Sold my Bogner XTC anniversary, Shiva anniversary and Cameron CCV after getting one. Even selling my Cornford MK50 too. The 50 is shit avoid it though! I think they are like marmite for some people. You can play em quietly at home but it really excels at gigging volume and sits in the mix really well. Great loop and very versatile IMHO. Amps for hairy arsed rockers they are. Not for shrinking violets!

Ah it's the 50 that appealed to me, I've played big sold out venues with my 100 watters and never gone much over half way
