Default My most expensive peice of music gear is ...

a vintage ribbon mic my dad gave me that I never use.

My second most expensive piece of music gear is my Yamaha electro acoustic. Which I hardly ever use.
My most expensive pedal, a POG2 get's used a lot less than say, my £28 Mooer hustle drive...

    I'm a bit weird really.

Does anybody else suffer from this affliction of spending 99% of your time playing with you're cheapest equipment? After thinking about it a bit I'm sure I spend most of my time playing a second hand squier guitar.

Is it just me... ? Do I need help?

Edit : Ahh crap, I can't even spell piece correctly.

For electric, I rotate the Teles every few days/weeks. Next to me is the Rosewood, but yesterday it was the SQ.

For acoustic, I only play the J-45.

Most of my most-used gear is the cheapest.

My 'in reach' electric is my cheapest one at the moment - my Aria RS - although I do sometimes rotate them. The Aria is the only one I don't have a hard case for though, so it tends to get the most time on the hanger.

My go-to amp in the house is either the Marshall Reverb 12 I got from someone here or the Carlsbro Sherwood I got from someone else here! Neither of them worth more than a tiny fraction of my Mesa.

I only have one acoustic (not counting my 12-string, which is also probably more valuable anyway) and one bass.

TBH I only think about the price of a piece of kit when I either break it, lose it, want to buy it, or sell it!

Has to be either my Rickenbacker 360/12 or Fender Thinskin Jazzmaster. The Ric doesn't get as much use as I'd hoped it would but I love the Jazzmaster and use it a lot.
However I find that at the moment my go to has to be my Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster which at a bargain secondhand price comes in at a fifth of the thinskin!

My most used around the house electric is the CV Tele which is worth about one tenth of my Gretch which is probably the least played.

My two most expensive guitars are the ones that I made for myself, but then I was paying for a Guitar Maker to take me through it and I was using his workshop. This was all well worth it as both instruments are excellent, and my version of a Les Paul gets used all the time.

Last year my most popular live guitar was my SG Std (paid under £400) and most-played home guitar was the Strat (SQuier-based frankenstein, worth around £300 with the wind behind it)
