    What was he thinking ... a poor pastiche of the Average White Band. The single sounds like the incidental music from an episode of the Starsky and Hutch TV series - I half expect to see Huggy Bear appear in the band video. If they were serious they'd get a horn section and more cow bell ..

    For a modern take on this sound check out British band Down to the bone.

    might be getting further away from 70's funk but this lot were a previous recommendation on here for those who like their funk on the guitar side:
