Just read on the BBC that

Councils in Kent have said they are prepared for heavy snow with up to 5cm (2in) predicted to fall in some parts of the county.

"Heavy snow"?! And only in some parts of the county too. Presumably the rest will have a hard frost...

The winter before last we had almost three *feet* here (east central Scotland) and it didn't clear completely until March. We had to dig the road out by hand since it's not a through road and the council didn't bother.

We've got about three inches now and it's a minor inconvenience at most.
