Yeh. Basically, theres a Silicon 70s type FF, a Germanium 60's type one or a Hendrix sig.

    It's all good

I think I might get the Silicon and Germanium ones .

What's the Hendrix one like? Surely it would be one of those two, if it's a copy of something Jimi used at the time...

I'm deeply suspicious of anything which says "Jimi Hendrix" on it anyway, after previous experience with a "Jimi Hendrix Fuzz-Wah" that was not a fuzz-wah at all, but a rather bad-sounding distortion and a rather ordinary-sounding wah in the same casing.

The Jimi association has no bearing for me, but having owned a MXR Classix 108 which is essentially the same circuit, it sounds amazing. I like my fuzz quite gainy, not too scooped, and creamy as well as fuzzy if that makes sense and this circuit does it better than any other ive tried. Th Classic 108, despie being in a pedal board freindly enclosure!, was still too large on my board to justify for what is still an occasional effect for me, so I sold it with the intention of buying the big round one to keep off-board and use when I need to, but I will find space for the mini instead....

I'm seeing that too, think I'll get one brought over by one of the guys in the the US office instead of paying twice the price!

the standard fuzz faces seem to have a street price well below their RRP's though so I'd have hoped for something sub £100 once they are in stock?

I know it's a NAMM vid so obviously it's meant to impress, but they all sound really good here. I don't think I've ever even tried a Fuzz Face. Maybe now's the time

Yeah they all sound great, maybe not such a simple choice, I may actually have to try them
