    I've just got a special edition PRS SE Santana from the ebay. ITS NOT FOR SALE BTW

    Fantastic guitar, looks great (imo), plays great, sounds great. Its a keeper. And being a special edition (PRS 25th anniversary or something) it had custome finish and came with a PRS hardcase. For less than £500 too. Get in You Beauty!!!!

    Seems to be a buyers market atm on ebay
    I used to be in a band you know, there was links and all sorts in this sig right here. But now all gone. Gone like ashes in the wind. Fuck it I was shit anyway.

    I'd go for one of the first edition soapbars - I've had two and they were both superb

    There's a nice greenburst SE Soapbar II on here with BKPs fitted. Otherwise, I'd echo what cm01 said and look for one of the SE Soapbar SC's as they're frikkin awesome.*

    *There's a new version out too; Maple top, 3-way switch on the upper bout, 2-vol/2-tone layout, birds, masked binding.... I've got major gas for it already, just waiting on the street prices to come through;

    Ive seen the 245 Soapbar is being issued this year, it will be a stonker. I tried some of the 245 SE's the other week and i can say they are streets ahead of an Epi or Tokai Singlecut. Should have bought one as they were on sale for £449...

    I've not really played a bad one tbh, the only one that was rough was a used one in a cash converters that had rusty strings, a manky fretboard, and a stupidly high action... so hardly PRS' fault!

    £449's a good price for those, I'd be reluctant to pay much over £5/550 for an SE purely because that begins to enter the low-end of USA PRS used prices for things like Mira X's, CE's etc. That said, they're still worth the money, just not the depreciation!

    You hit the nail on the head regards the SE pricing/depreciation. The new SE models are just too expensive new IMHO compared to the S/H lower end USA models.

    Plenty of SE interest but no one selling - perhaps this speaks volumes for the SE range in general?

    I've had a Soapbar and an SE One, both fantastic guitars (especially considering I'd paid less than £200 for each of them); certainly wouldn't pay new prices but now I've had an obligatory look the £200 or offers Tremonti SE on eBay's tormenting me

    Mustn't, want RevMatt's Eggle...

    ddlooping had one of the original SE soapbars for sale a while back. Not sure whether he sold it or not, but it was going for a very good price ...
