Strange thing to say, but typical racist stuff - very colour specific, racists are.. Quite often, anywayz.. I'm hoping it was said tongue in cheek..

As for the original question. I think we should stay in, but the whole EU thing needs a good sorting.

I really hope so. I was genuinely shocked when I read that...

We won't have a choice in that we will be sidelined as those members with the Euro seeker closer economic and political ties. There will therefore be a two-tier EU. The whole organisation has become a bloated undemocratic organisation resembling the sort of government activity you'd find in a banana republic. The accountants have refused to sign off the accounts for the last 10 years due to what they believe to be irregularities, which amounts to corruption.

And the unregulated movement of labour backed by a generous welfare system is just unaffordable - the French, Germans and Dutch are having the same problems we are. And forget the Bulgarians - the Spanish, French and Greeks are coming to England looking for work. Whilst there's no problem with this in principle once you get a low paid job you are entitled to a range of benefits, including housing benefit.

And before people shout 'racist' the UK has not invested in infrastructure [not that you can when faced with such a growth in population]. I live in Hertfordshire - there's not enough water, electricity or road capacity to cope with any-more growth. The previous Labour government and and now the Tories want to add 10,000 houses locally - fine in theory until they were informed there's not enough power or water. The Tories have come up with a plan which they're implementing on the A1 motorway - remove the hard shoulder and have four narrow lanes and a 50 mph speed limit. And this is progress.

IN the EEC, as a trading member, for the original ideals the EEC was set up.

OUT of the EU, or a renogiated membership of the EU, so that we are an independent nation governed by our own laws, rules, and regulations.

If that means cherry-picking, then so be it. Further, the Human Rights Act which has become a blight upon the UK, must be the first to be axed.

    Agree with Rocktron entirely.

It was originally for free trade. Oh, and so the French didn't get invaded again, and it's turned into an unstoppable monster.

It's virtually turned into what it was planned to be from the start - a United States of Europe. Heath knew this when he signed.

I'll be happier being part of the EU if they sort the finances out.

How many years has it been since the auditors were able to say it wasn't as bent as a nine bob note? I'd rather my taxes didn't go to fund the hugely corrupt Euro-mafiosi.

But no to political union. A huge no.
