    I also noticed that he makes loads of mistakes during his excercises which is quite unusual for people reccomending this sort of practice regime. I mean the conventional wisdom seems to be play it perfectly slow and then slowly ramp up the speed.

    I've come across him before- he's a bit of an objectionable twonk.
    I practice every day in a structured way and I try to teach students to do the same thing.
    You can teach a method without being an asshole.
    Being an asshole doesn't do anyone any favours.
