    Default The 1990's...

I don't think there is a single picture that sums the decade up better than this one...

...seriously, that might as well have been me in my room 20 years ago. Shit, 20 years...?

The 1990s started with a Tory-sponsored recession, businesses going bust, and rising unemployment. They continued with the 1994 "Criminal Justice Act" which was criminally unjust, then the Tories got kicked out not before time only to let in another lot of Tories. However I was making money by then so I didn't care too much. Then in 1999 I got made redundant and ended the decade as I started - unemployed.

My gaff never looked like that picture but it did start to fill up with musical equipment. I never had such a silly haircut either. Come to think of it I didn't have my hair cut much in the 1990s at all.

I think it may be on that crossover point (maybe very early 90s) where fashion actually became worse than it was in the 80s.

I thought that then I noticed Viper which wasn't released on NES until 1990, Ducktales if I remember correctly was 1989... and the usual 3 year style transition period till that decade finds its own "style" to put it loosely ha

Nah. I had Peanuts wallpaper in the early 90s and had an Amiga rather than a NES (initially anyway). I certainly never had a mullet or ill fitting trainers.
