The 1990s was rave and grunge. It was all about warehouse parties, disco biscuits and 3 day benders that you lost about half a stone on.

Not for me. Went to a few raves in the late 80's but the last one was probably 1990. For me the early 90's were about Trouble,Kyuss, At The Gates, Dark Throne, Saint Virus, Monster Magnet and trying to avoid Pearl Jam and the like.

A thread about the early 1990's - is this finally the opportunity to post my wedding photos on here? They were the last photos of me looking slim plus I was wearing some seriously big spectacles.

I've still got the same specs I had when I got married in a drawer somewhere. Mrs C refers to them as my porn-star glasses, although I'm missing the main qualification in the trouser department to be successful in that particular industry. And we were all slim in those days, weren't we? I was like a racing snake, and came complete with porn-star moustache, but I wasn't to last.

getting married was one of the few slim periods of my life - lost about two stone in worry beforehand, although mostly back on by the end of teh honeymoon.

Early 90's was all about Uni for me.....which was a really miserable time.

Fortunately my favourite band at the time released their masterpiece - The Manics' "The Holy Bible". So that helped cheer me up, no end.....

What came first, the music or the misery? Never so appropriate, that line.

THB used to upset me, it just gets me psyched up now. I think I may have become desensitised to its joys!

Weren't they just? The ones I had at the time seemed like a 'normal' size, until I see pics of me back then, and then they look like comedy Trevor Horn ones.

However, I can really piss you off by saying that my waist size has barely gone up since 1985 . It was very painful accepting I could no longer get into my 28" Chinos a few years back though... had to get some new ones recently. 30"! (And I sometimes prefer 32" 501s, for more casual comfort...)
