In fairness, I don't think you can blame the NME for this, I think the blame lays with PRS.

I seem to recall Metallica's "Nowhere else to roam" tour making the record books for a 2 year tour with about 3-4 gigs a week on average.
That's hard work.

I find NME's website to be one of the poorest for music news, in my opinion.
As far as the JLS story...Aside from the fact that "hardest working" is a pretty difficult thing to measure, JLS were pretty ubiqitous on TV last year, so whilst the actual gigs they did may not have been that many, I imagine the personal appearances, in-stores, Christmas light switch-on's, TV spots etc probably significantly upped their workload.
I don't have a problem with JLS myself.. Seem to be nice enough guys, there's a market for that kind of thing and there are much worse boy bands out there. Doesn't appear to negatively impact on my life at all. As long as I don't watch the TV.
