I think if you read the small print [it's in the Independent] this is only stadium gigs and is based on the tickets sold by venue [50,000 plus]. Westlife came second .. it just shows how many impressionable young girls and their mums will pay good money to see such dross.

I seem to recall Metallica's "Nowhere else to roam" tour making the record books for a 2 year tour with about 3-4 gigs a week on average.
