Ah...but did you bid? I thought i'd get it for less but bid just over a cool grand...so was sort of confident i should get it but you never know...I don't know what they really go for used in great condish...but heard the good colours go over a grand often. I watched another amber one a few months go...couldn't afford to bid on that as my financial circumstances at the time were dire so watched wishing i could afford it and it went for 800 n some odd squids...so I hoped this may stay south of £900...but alas t'was not to be. Still I'm hopeful it'll be a good'un n worth it.

Congrats on the Axe though, they are fantastic guitars. I have a Purple one, same model but bought in 2000. That Amber is a great colour too.

You should get used to the frets no problem.
    Cheers sounds hopeful mister!!

Yep it arrived this morning and its stunning....neck has a different feel to it being unfinished or a very thin finish and you can feel the texture of the figured maple in ur hands as you play...but its a nice feel. Trem feels stiffer than my Ibanez/PRS and Strats probs got 4 or 5 springs on..maybe thats necessary for the D tuner? I noticed the trem with the stiffer feel means (quite obviously) that when you bend a string it moves less and thus detunes the other strings a lot less..so thats an upside to the stiffer feel. The one and only minor gripe is there a tad bit of play in the trem arm...is there any fix for that?

Really nice guitars those. If I ever need something with a floyd a black one would be top of the list

This guitar i've just got has 10's on it...which feel ok to me, but as the D tuner doesn't work perfect (not totally bang on in tune when you engage it) I'm wondering if this thing is made to work with .9's?? Can anyone confirm? If not i'll just try that on my next string change.

I've had a few guitars with the D-Tuna fitted (inc my new EVH Wolfgang) and it's never quite spot on. I tent to just fine tune as normal when dropping to D.

Yeah that sounds about right then..when i've tried it a few times now its just been a quarter turn on the fine tuner and its bob on...but i did expect it to be perfect, still a lot easier than having to get the allen key out n unlock at the nut end...so can't complain too much. Cheers mister!
