Someone needs to set up a national gear-storage register to help musicians for this kind of thing. A bit like foster families.

I could be like a fifth emergency service. Nice vans driven by blokes in smart uniforms, shifting gear around the country using regional depots, and "losing" what they're carrying for a while.
