I think I am going to do yet another complete redesign soon, it's been a nightmare with hosting and database problems recently.

I do find it's very slow at the moment [and I have super fast broadband]. For example, I just searched for a 'Les Paul Studio' and six options appeared quite quickly, followed by another six options after a few minutes and then a few more after that. And a number of the options are one-off trade-ins which have been sold - perhaps you could stop them being shown. Only offering constructive comments as I'd prefer to deal with someone I trust. The Les Paul Standard you sold me is great ....

This in various pieces of gardening equipment.

Hartnoll's is one of those odd places where i've yet to have had a bad experience - The website is a tad iffy and it's good that Jamie is thinking of performing a complete overhaul.

Personally I'd go for a clean look - stick to pastel colours, use a white (or light colour) background over black (I always find websites that have a black background to remind me too much of late 90s geocities sites) and re-jig the dropdown (or in this case, dropacross) menus so that you can click on a parent menu to be sent to the relevant page (if that makes sense).

As noted above, all of this is constructive critisimsism - were Hartnolls a rubbish place to shop I wouldn't give a toss about how the website was :P

All noted, I do try to remove sold stuff after a while but been a bit slack lately!

Speed thing is an absolute pain. But... The good news is I've just been testing it on a new server and it looks like it'll be much faster! Hopefully completely swapped over early next week.

Excellent. I've almost given up supporting IE for all the problems it causes, so glad it's working for you

Thanks chap. The current design is meant to mimic the styling in the shops, but I know what you mean.

Got some design ideas in mind, it's just getting the time to get them laid out. It will happen though!
