    Hello,

There are no hotels within walking distance, most are in the centre of brum

The Travelodge on Newhall Street is cheap but very basic.
The Jury's Inn on Broad Street is more expensive but quite nice
The Hyatt on Broad Street is fabulous but massively expensive

You know what you are going to get with any of the named, don't be tempted by any on the Hagley Road, all of the ones I've stayed in are horrible (but cheap)

    Hope that helps

Depends on your definition of 'walking distance' - Bloc Hotel in the Jewellery Quarter's less than a mile away according to Google Maps. There's a hotel called 'Hatter's' there too apparently, never heard of that one though.

Oh, and I'll be there tomorrow afternoon

Fair point, although I'm a lazy bugger (and its sooo cold here today) and when you've bought all that lovely gear, do you want to walk?

say hello, it would be good to put faces to names

In premier inn near the station. Having a kip then hitting town. This place is a giant maze.

But they were useful in the days when part of my job involved finding accommodation for people just released from prison.

Is Spark Hill still good for a curry and a table naan?

Can't be there this year unfortunately. Too much work on!

To all the good people who I normally catch up with at the show, have a great weekend!
