Any Bogner Ecstasy/Shivas around?

Thanks for the insight and offer to try them out, like you say Blackpool is just a stretch too far.

For me, I feel the Shiva is probably too similar to my Thunderverb in its feel and response, so I'm more or less dead set on the Ecstasy. 101b vs 20th Anniversary is another matter. Unfortunately, there aren't many around at all.

I've never played a 101b but I've never heard anyone who has played both who preffered the 101b. From what I have read the 20th is a significant improvement over the 101b.

Shiva is nothing like a thunderverb. And the anniversary is certainly not. I had the 6L6 anniversary xtc. Was always lost in the mix -i liked how it sounded tho' I changed the valves from kt88's to el34's in the ann shiva it made it less ' shouty!' But wasn't my bag eventually. Thought the 101b was pretty average (el34's) all xtc's are too fuckin fussy and all the knobs to change everything just added to the fact that you can't get a great sound out of it in the first place IMHO! I never got a great sound out of red and blue at the same time (not simultaneously) if blue was awesome I couldn't get red awesome without tweaking it instead of being able to just change channel- and vice-versa! Bloody frustrating so I flogged it!
