Can't do youtube from here but I quite like stuff like that. I have very fond memories of Sarah Jory's Abba medley on pedal steel.

I'm presuming you are already familiar with Hayseed Dixie and their ouvre?

Yeah, I have a few Hayseed albums, all good stuff. These guys are a bit more laid back.

I'll check Sarah Jory out then, if her Abba medely is anywhere as good as Alan Partridge's I'll like it!

    LOL.

I saw her do it live, might be on youtube somewhere I guess. Still, any Sarah Jory is going to be worth a look. Effortlessly talented.

Oh, did watch the clip BTW. Nice. I liked the small town American thing going on in the video.

Interesting, I played for Sarah for 6 years and never heard her do that. Plenty of unreasonably good playing but no Abba. I'll see if I can find it.

Fairly sure I didn't dream it! I couldn't find it on youtube. Was something she did at a guitar show with backing tapes rather than with the band.

Deeply impressed that you played with Sarah though! I think she has been rather overlooked by the macho guitar press.

Cheers. I'm sure she would have done something like that. In the band we did a bunch of obscure covers. Most notably for me (as it was my big front of the stage solo) Brian May, Last Horizon. The recorded solo was shocking but always had a blast live. They were some great times! I owe Sarah a lot. Would love to do one final gig with her.

Ah, there was a version of Last Horizon by her when I was trawling through the youtube stuff, although I couldn't really remember the original ( which I may have on cassette somewhere).
