PA Soundsystem Package (Reggae/Dub/Drum and Bass)

Hi,

I'm selling my home made sound system to fund some studio equipment.



Originally part of a 4 way system I built but I have since sold the 18" scoops. The speaker boxes were made by myself out of MDF. The system can be used as a 2 way mono system comprising the 2x12 cabinet for low bass and a 2" folded horn compression driver for treble.

The 2x12 consists of two Fane Sovereign 12" 200w drivers wired at 4ohms parallel. The flared horn uses a CD280 80w compression driver wried at 8ohms. All boxes have dual speakon inputs (however only one connector is wired to the drivers).

Included in the sale is my "control tower" rack for integration with turntables/cd players etc.

The rack consists of:
Soundcraft M8 Mixing Desk - 8 mono mic inputs and 4 stereo trs inputs
Yamaha mono 31 band graphic EQ
Behringer Crossover
Matrix UKP1300 Stereo/Dual Mono Power Amp

I will also include an RIAA phono pre amp for connecting turntables to the line level inputs of the mixing desk.

I highly recommend seeing this system in person before buying as it can be shown working. This would make a great addition to a a potential 3 way reggae system with scoops. The system sounds very crisp and loud, perfect for bass heavy reggae and ska.

I also have two 15" Fane Sovereign PRO 500w drivers for sale that were removed from some bass bins I made.

MDF cabinets are a bit scruffy with a chip in the flared horn box. One of the 12" drivers has a tear in the cone, I have looked into replacing the cone but it produces no audible distortion so I have left it. It can be covered with tissue paper and PVA glue if required. There are no other faults with the system itself.
