    Default Potential GAS...

    http://www.rowlandsmusic.com/store/B...prod_1637.html

Isn't it lovely? It's just the standard American Special in a limited edition finish.

Would need pickup and bridge covers of course, and I'm undecided between black/anodised gold/red scratchplate or keep the white. Whaddyathink?

Could possibly be mine. We'll see.

Right, had a bit of a crude geek around on Paint!

I think that the gold works best. Though I'm still tempted by the red (despite the fact that it's gone royally wrong in my pic!)

Will be ordered tomorrow hopefully, alongsied a set of LaBella 760M - the 'Jamerson' super heavy gauge set - I'm I justified in my confidence that they will be fine seeing as the bass has one of those graphite truss rods? I'm no good at tweaking truss rods.

    Black scratchplate.

No pickup cover. Pickup covers on P-Basses are horrible and a pain in the arse.
My name is Connor and I have a GAS problem.

I also have some videos of myself playing guitar. Here they are.

Definitely needs the covers! As well as looking darn smashing, I find them handy when playing as well - the pickup cover (and tug bar) make a handy resting place when playing with my thumb near the bridge (which I do often)

The pickup cover will also hide the mutes that'll be there.

I do agree that the Jazz bass bridge cover can sometimes be a pain as it covers the bridge and the rear pickup, which is quite a large area. I still keep it on most of the time though!

It's awesome. Absolutely fantastic. I'm even liking the stock rounds (having played the same set of flats for 3 years!)
The Zoom B3 that arrived this morning seems to be the best use of £150 ever as well.

Stock (sorry about the large photos!):

    New scratchplate:

Will see if I can do quick sound clip with the Zoom.

Apologies for the sloppy playing. Still getting to grips with roundwounds!

Very nice thumpy P, and you're right. The round wounds sound surprisingly good. I've just ordered a set of half rounds for my Jazz.....we'll see.
