Default Digitech tuner app available for androids this weekend

I know squat of such things not owning a smart phone but hopefully someone will make use of this

Just go to Play Store and search for the HT-S Fast Tune and it's free today and tomorrow.

Simply cannot figure out why anyone would want such an App. Guitar tuners are ten a penny these days, I somehow managed to end up with five or six........

I always have my phone and it's always charged and ready.

I have two pedal tuners, but to use them I have to take my boards out of the flightcase, plug it in and find a cable.

    Doh

Weirdly I couldn't find it on the store by searching for any of the words: digitech, tuner, ht-6, etc

I don't own a pedal tuner. Never have owned on either. Whenever I have enough money to buy a pedal I want it to make a lovely sound.

I do have a clip on tuner I got free with somerthing. And I've got a tuner in my POD HD and Zoom G3.

So actually this app is handy. I used it today. Just sat my phone on the top of the amp, strummed the strings and that was that. Dead easy and it works. Very handy.

I thought that until I got the Polytune app for my iPhone... I only got it because it looked cool and I was curious.

Firstly it was £2.99, which is a lot cheaper than any tuner, even those little clip-on ones.

Secondly it's absolutely brilliant, and is much quicker and easier to use than any other non-pedal tuner I've ever tried. It's particularly good for setting up guitars with floating trems, if that's something you need to do. It's actually saved me a considerable amount of time in guitar repair work, and I would say it's paid for itself several times over already.

I have no idea if the Digitech one is as good though, sorry! [/useless post]

I had a quick go and couldn't find on the Play store on my phone either. I think 'guitar tuner' got about 800 results.

Installed it...seems to work fairly well on my Motorola Atrix, with the caveat that I tried it with my electric not plugged in, so it had to be right next to the guitar with the mic sensitivity right up. I'd try it plugged in, but the wife's still in bed...
