Got too complicated for its own good. The transcending of consciousness to machines got lost. That bit was really well done, but as Zap says turned into a soap opera in the end.

Just got hold of The Plan on dvd and will be getting Blood and Chrome soon.

I love the willingness of the writers to kill people off who you'd not have thought would get killed.

A word of advise though - fast forward through the second half of the intro credits, some episodes can have vital parts of the plot given away. Its fast choppy-cut images but occasionally they can be significant.
Very good tip that. I've taken to closing my eyes at that point as more than once it's given away the twist at the end of the episode.

Having got thoroughly bored of dross like Heroes that would continually kill off characters and then go "NOT REALLY SURPRISE THEY ARE STILL ALIVE!!!!" it's great that Galactica will kill off a significant character if needed for plot development.

It's really good. I got into it from the start. And so did my wife and she's not into sci-fi at all. Around the time of the end of season 4 and the start of season five we had another baby. And missed some episodes. So we decided to wait until we saw the end of the show on DVD.

Still haven't got round to it yet. We've had the DVDs since they were released. Finally we're going to watch the final season over the next few weeks.

BTW the whole thing, yes the whole thing, is available at Amazon on Blu-ray for £35 right now.

    Me too.

    Cheers for that.

Much better than watching it on Love Film which misses out the Mini Series and Razor and all the extras.

    Very good indeed.

I still prefer Firefly as my all time favourite but it is a close second.

You're welcome. I think the only thing missing is the film - The Plan. I've not seen that yet. But I Sky+ it last week.

The Plan was pants. Cut & Paste with a few new scenes.
The Reverend Lord Henry was not one of those new-fangled parsons who carry the principles of their vocation uncomfortably into private life.

I liked the premise of The Plan (you know, the "plan" bit), but it felt very much like an afterthought with it's reuse of material. However, it still tied in pretty nicely and I don't remember it creating any plotholes so I'm really not sure now!

Razor is superb, if only for the Old Skool Cylons and "By your command".
