A sick sense of humour is one thing, but a "Colin McRae helicopter game that keeps crashing"? 4 dead people (2 children). Honest opinion = too far.
this joke a self-policing fnny-trap - anyone that is enough of a fnny to be offended by it deserves to be offended for being such a fnny

edit: work filter doesnt like the "f" word - imagine judicious "a"s

The joke is subject to a matter of opinion and as it stands, I haven't found it offensive. I haven't screamed "delete the thread", "ban these users", "where are the moderators?" either, because it's a joke, and I take no objection to the idea that it might cause offence. To my mind, it isn't particularly funny, it's in very poor taste, and it goes too far. This is simply an opinion, no more or less valid than anyone else's opinion when it comes to a joke.

All a bit rubbish because it's a considered opinion and not taken to an 'internet-standard' extreme? Because it isn't sick? Or is finding a humourous angle on the death of two children "not rubbish"? If this was a sick joke forum, I'm sure that it would be considered as pretty mild compared with some of the stuff I've seem online! We're not on a sick joke forum though, we're on a music forum. Anyone claiming that anything goes "too far" is setting themselves up as a bit of an easy target and I know that all too well, but then what kind of 'forum' has any level of interest at all if people always agree?

I do wonder why someone would find any humour whatsoever in the death of two children.

it isnt sick - finding postivity from tragedy is a good thing - you are being deliberately sensationalist - acting as though people find it funny when children die and ignoring the fact that two non-children died as well because that isnt tragic enough to suit your guilt-tripping

1, It is sick. Sick jokes can not be justified as "finding positivity from tragedy".

2, Claiming that a joke is going "too far" doesn't qualify as "sensationalism" or "guilt tripping".

3, 'Non-children' are usually referred to as 'adults'.

"I think this humour goes too far" does not qualify (by anyone's standards) as a "brutal attack".

What kind of thinking suggests to you that you need to defend a sick joke in the face of one person expressing the view that they think it goes too far and isn't very funny?

To play a martyr, you would need to die first. If that happened, then it would be pretty sad, but I'm sure someone on here would have a bit of a laugh about it thinking that it's just "finding positivity from tragedy".

yes they can - having a laugh is often considered to be a good thing - when a sad thing happens it becomes all the sadder if everyone has to be sad about it forever

the rest of your points can be answered with "eh!?"

It'd be quite funny if SC died in a helicopter crash because the pilot was too busy telling anecdotes about how you shouldn't laugh when people die in helicopter crashes. Not SC dying, by the way, just the circumstances.
