Default Replacement Strap Pins for Les Paul Junior?

Looking to replace the strap pins on my Les Paul Junior (couple of years old reissue jobbie).

I use a Levys Suede strap which is quite thick so my Grolsch o'rings don't quite fit nicely between the strap and the silly tiny pins Gibson use. Last couple of gigs the Grolsch ring has actually popped off.

I was looking at axesrus but there's no real detail on screw length or diameter...can anyone suggest what I need, as just going by the pictures there seem to be different screws lengths here: http://www.axesrus.co.uk/Strap-Pins-s/1894.htm

BTW I don't like schaller strap locks so don't suggest those.

On holiday in Killarney last year I bought a few strap pins from a musical shop there. They are about the same as the pins on my PRS SE and to fit a pair on an Epi LP, I had to (slightly) enlarge the holes as the old pins were a bit loose. I expect these kind of things are available almost everywhere, try Thomann for example. I agree with you re Strap Locks............

Let me know if you cannot find any, I have a pair 'somewhere' that I could post to you.

    Dunlop Lok Strap

No modification to the guitar, works with Gibson strap buttons and Levy's straps (I use both), rock solid.

Much better than metal straplocks, which I don't like either.

Thanks, I'll give them a try.

I tried these on one of my guitars and, believe it or not, one kept falling off. It felt 'tight' when fitted but it loosened somehow when the guitar was being played [if what I do to a guitar constitutes the description playing].

I have noticed that they seem to vary a bit in 'locking-ness', but I've never had one that was slack enough to loosen itself off - if anything the problem is the other way round, some are so stiff that they're difficult to turn when you're putting them on. It seems that the tolerances are quite wide though.

Got a set of these the other day, haven't giged with them yet (been in a Fender mood) but they seem to work really well.

A bit ugly, but I'd rather that than have it fall of my strap.

    Thanks ICBM.
