Why have 12's? Are you a detuner? Or just like heavy strings? If you like the heavy strings and want it to feel like a superstrat neck with a tele body, build it. Or...

Check out the Rapport. They have tons of switching options.

Check the bargains section for one for £585, built in Cambridge!

Been there, done that... Didn't like it. Coil taps, built in sustainer etc... I think that's the way forward for me

Seems like the most sensible thing to do Would probably be happiest with this also.0

I just like heavy strings tbh. I used to play my Tele with 11s most of the time, and that was just about right for that guitar. Any lighter, and I don't think I'd have enjoyed playing it as much. I like the feel you get when you really dig in to a double stop with heavier gauged instruments.

I'd definitely check out the Rees one then. It's got tons of different sounds, built well and looks great. They're happy to custom build for you, too, but for less than £600 that one is a bargain. Not many UK built guitars for that money, especially with this much functionality.

Yes this or a Suhr T style would be what I would recommend for the OP.

I was thinking Tom Anderson too. Simply tell him what you want and it will happen. [I would not even dream of selling my Anderson, it is a keeper no matter what] It might even feature as the guitar of the week......

How about speaking to Christian at Sabre Guitars.

That is not a padded bike seat, it is a shock absorber.
