    Default Hartke Bass Cabs

Anyone used/got one of these :
    Hartke 410xl, VX115, or the Transporter cabs 410TP & 115TP.

If so what was your verdict.
    Many thanks in advance.

The transporter ones are a bit pants. Servicable certainly, but current used prices mean you can get a 410XL or 4.5XL for about £150.00. And the improvement is massive

The paper cone VX115 only has (IIRC) 150W power rating. Not a good solo cab.

The main issue with the XL series 4x10 is the weight. They are really heavy beasts - but they do sound really really good! The 4.5XL is very similar to the 410XL except for a centre mount tweeter. If you are not looking for a super clear Marcus Miller treble response then you don't need it.

If you can lift it, you can't go wrong with an 410XL

What Fret said; and the aluminium cones have a very noticeable effect on the sound (more attack, more treble, somehow 'punchier') which you may or may not like; I got one when I joined a G'n'R tribute band ages ago and it definitely did that Duff McKagen thing very well, but if you don't like his bass sound you might not like alu cones.
