Default Never mind - go to Listening Lounge!

    One Sick Lizard

Recorded at Red Rock Studios, Aberbargoed. It's just a quick thing we did to nab some more gigs but we're pretty pleased with the demo!

    Any feedback/thoughts are welcome.

Just had a quick preview on my phone, I'll give 'em a proper listen tomorrow, but sounds bloody great.

Always good to hear the other bands that are on here.

Just listened to the cover of My Sharona- that's great. Really tight and a great guitar sound. What was the guitar amp set up if you don't mind me asking?

Don't mind at all, quite flattered in fact, haha. For My Sharona it was...

Rhythm track one: my white '95 Les Paul Custom with Wizard Racer/Progression pickups, into a Big Knob Pedals TS808 with gain all the way down and volume all the way up, into my Blackstar HT50 head and Blackstar Artisan 2x12 with Eminence Legend GB12s (higher powered Greenback clones). The lead setup was much the same except I used my maple-necked '78 Custom with Bare Knuckle Cold Sweats, an OCD for gain boost and some light delay from my Nova System.

Rhythm track two was a '68 ES-345 into a Laney GH50L (I think) and an old 80's Marshall straight 4x12 stripped of all tolex and fitted with (I believe) Greenbacks or G12T75s.

    Everything was close-miked with a Shure SM57.

    Hope that helps!

Sounds great Rhys, nice work mate. Whenever we've done quick demos for pubs etc I've always struggled to get a decent guitar sound down, that sounds ace.
    Great vocalist btw!

Well, that does help in terms of letting me know how you got a great sound but doesn't help my amp gas! Sometimes I forget just how great a Les Paul through a cranked amp sounds....

Dang-nabbit..that sounds really good.. in fact you almost fooled me cos I started listening to The Pretender. Very impressive. If you can't get more gigs off the back of these demo's then we all might as well give up and go home ;o)
