just wondering if its possible to fit an fx loop to a orange dual terror....just got the amp as part of a trade and it sounds great just it could do with a bit of rev/delay....tried it in the front of the amp and it sounds bad...otherwise great little amp for smaller rooms...
I've heard of Andy at Rat Amps doing it to the Tiny Terror - some people have said it doesn't always work, not sure how true that is (not Andy's mod but the principle generally).
If the Dual Terror is like the Tiny Terror, it won't work well because the master volume is post-phase-inverter and so the loop cannot be put in the proper position, after the preamp distortion. All the distortion in the TT occurs in the phase inverter unless the gain is really maxed, and even then most of it does. (And the power stage, if the master is turned up as well.)
All you can do is have a loop that operates at a higher signal level than the guitar, which is not very useful.
You could take a signal tap of the output transformer primary and feed this back into the signal path at a suitable point, or even to another amp/ PA.
Several amps have done reverb like this, eg the Champ 12.
Obviously you would have to run your effects 100% wet otherwise you will have massive feedback issues, but this should work for delays.
Bear in mind that it's usually not cost effective paying someone to modify your amp.
