    Default Second thoughts?

Ever got something ready for sale, plugged it in, and started having second thoughts? I've just done exactly that with my Hellcat which is going tomorrow. Shit, that thing sounds so good.

I did it with my Romany; I'd had it for a few months but found that it was just too clean for me at bedroom volumes so I flogged it on, in that entire time I'd never cranked it to piss-off-the-neighbours volumes but I did the night before it went... sounded absolutely superb and exactly what I'd been looking for! It was a 3-power model so I wouldn't mind getting a newer 4-power Plus model at some point

I think they are pretty stunning. I am pushing my luck to play it at the sweet spot - at home - but it is addictive. I never use the Cut switch because the tone controls are superb, and I never use the low power settings so clearly the "features" were not designed for me!

I've had second thoughts about selling many things---Valve Junior amp, CIJ Telecaster, I'll definitely have second thoughts when it comes to listing my DMM later this week---but I tend not to sell gear lightly. I have the odd twinge of regret here and there but life is too short to have gear sitting around unused when I could use the funds for something else that will actually get played.

My R7. I wasnt feeling it so It went to my mate in trade for a 339 and a Tokai. Really regretted it, then 6 months later I had it back minus the 339 and a lionheart head. Its now my favourite guitar. Admittidly, it now has different pick ups but from the 10 or so LPs Ive had, this is by far the best. I just wish Id seen that before my lionheart had to go.

I'm currently having second thoughts about selling my Baja Tele.

It isn't gone yet, but I played it the other night and seriously thought about withdrawing it.

Still, I have a direction in mind I want to go just now and the Baja is surplus to requirements if truth be told.

I'd like to get some stuff again, but regret isn't something I welcome - even when I think I've got cause.

btw Guitargeek62 is totally right about his Romany - it's actually introduced me to the concept of a vintage bridge humbucker sound, but it's great with teles too... not so dandy with the neck pickup on strats though.
