    Default Ebay rant....

Finally sold my guitar ...lots of bidding.. the final buyer was a guy that wanted to arrange collection (for eventual delviery to Hong Kong) I told him I have to arrange delivery , and it'll be in the UK only GRrrrrrRRRRR

So now I have to wait 7 days for the purchase to be cancelled , I've sent a second chance offer already , if the guy accept that'll be ok right?

Always set up your auction to be specifically UK-only, which will automatically block overseas bids. Unless he's a scammer with a UK-registered account, of course...

If the 'second chance' guy goes for it you're fine, but a lot of buyers are inherently suspicious of them because of the well-known scams involving them - including shill bidding.

Yeah the guy has it registered in Loughborough, he has over a thousand feedback score, which is great but they're all £2-£4 purchases... so p1ssed...

Can you not cancel the sale? I can't remember how to get to that option but I recently had a guy buy my item then immediately say he couldn't afford it. I managed to find a cancel sale option but I can't remember how. It wasn't obvious I remember that much, but I was able to do it same day. They have to accept the cancellation though otherwise I think you get charged paypal fees. Thankfully my 'buyer' complied with many apologies for wasting my time.

I had something similar when I tried to sell an iPhone. It was a UK account that bought it, but then they wanted it sending to their son who was on holiday in Nigeria!!!!

Go to the live help in the resolutions centre and chat with someone there, they'll explain the process but you'll be able to cancel it and get the fees refunded (I got my listing fees and of course the final value fee back).

All sorted, the winner cancelled his order.... BUT Ebay rant 2 coming up

I sent a second offer to the next person down, I left it for 16 hours had no response, so I offered it to the third person down.. a few hours passed then both of the second offer people accepted and payed within 5 minutes of each other! ... how can this happen.. so frustrating so I have sent a grovelling apology to the 3rd person and accepted the 2nd (as he paid 5 mins earlier) I feel like a tw@t , plus i'll probably get negative feedback from buyer 3 GRRRRRRRR

I turn down 2nd chance on principle as my bid was inflated by some jerk who didn't pay.
